Topeka Indoor Youth Football League 2011 marks the third season for the Topeka Indoor Youth Football League. Teams will be playing full contact, tackle football. The games will be played on the turf, in the Topeka Sports Factory. League play will start Mid-January and will run until Mid-March. The schedule will be somewhat dependent on the number of teams that sign up. Games will be played on Friday and Saturday nights, between 6:00pm and 11:00pm. This is an 8-man league. Registration is open only to players that played this fall (2010) in an organized tackle football league (NKFL, YMCA, school league, etc.).Games will consist of two 20 minute halves with a 5 minute half-time in between, with a running clock. There will be no kicking game (no kickoffs, no extra points, no punts). The team that wins the toss can elect to start on offense on their own 20 yard line, or defer to the second half. There will be 5 divisions, 4th grade, 5th grade, 6th grade, 7th grade, and 8th grade (current year in school). Each team will be guaranteed 6 games. Equipment will be provided by the league. The cost per player is $100 for the season. Registrations submitted before November 15th will receive a $10 discount. Registrations must be in and complete by December 15th. Space is extremely limited, teams will be admitted to the league on a first come first served basis. If you do not have at least 12 players registered and paid by December 15th, you will forfeit your spot in the league to another team. |
